Fliers Paying Price As Airlines Cut Back |

Atlanta — Millions of air passengers will get a dreaded call from their airlines this year — or, worse, will get the news at the airport. There will be a problem with the crew, the plane, the weather — something — and their flight will be canceled. So far this year, nearly 65,000 flights so have been canceled, almost as many as in all of 2007, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Travelers should be ready to be even more flexible as airlines carve chunks out of their schedules later this year. |
