Delta - they're drunk and stupid

So - my nightmare just ended, a two hour flight with one change-over, total travel time 2.5 hours, have just arrived home 14 hours later.

From Newark to Detroit, we get there, de-plane at the exact opposite end of the airport, they split me and my family up in seating, and put the wife and kids in the very last row of the plane, by the time we get off, I've got an exhausted 11 year old, with a cast on his hand, and we have to sprint essentially 1.5 kilometers to get to the next gate for the next Delta connect.

Plane is still there - departure isn't until 3:15 - it's 3:14 according to my radio controlled atomic watch and these fools won't let us on.

So, the long and short of it is, we now have to go to Cincinatti(sp) now to get the next transfer to Toronto.

Once again, a repeat of earlier - gate we get off at is completely across the airport.

I scream at the Delta troll woman to call ahead and hold the plane, we're on the way, she said she can't do that, so as I sprinted by her, leaving my family behind, I screamed at her, "Pick the ferking phone up and call!"

So we make it there, and lo and behold, delta doesn't even have a pilot, boarding was supposed to occur at 605pm and departure at 7pm - we landed at 640pm!!!

So for once, Delta screwing the pooch aided us, because they would have left our asses in Cinci - again, if they had been on time.

Never again!

My Mum took Porter, shit happened to her too, she got an EARLIER flight and was home in 90 minutes.

Never again, for the sake of $600 bucks, it's not worth it....

Ohhhhh....and stupid us, Delta gave us meal vouchers....when we went to pay (knew they wouldn't include booze which is fine), we owed like $60 bucks, the vouchers were for $6 bucks each...what soup and crackers and water!!

Never again.....like I said, they are horribly organized, left hand doesn't know what the right is doing, and they're all incompetent.
